- With your own key, the AI provider bills you directly, at its own prices, and Tangent adds nothing to that bill. Learn takes an OpenRouter key, which also works for web search; power mode also takes Anthropic and OpenAI keys. ↩
- When a reply probably needs checking (a specific date or figure, something recent, a few tangents deep, or when you ask for sources), the tutor may search the web once and list its sources under the answer. Or choose Check sources under an answer to search on demand. A search adds about 1¢ to the cost of that reply. It isn’t available with OpenAI keys. ↩
